Embracing the Scenic Route: Lessons from My Hiatus

If you’ve noticed things have been quiet, you’re not wrong—I’ve been on a major hiatus. We had to scale back, and let me tell you, running a business isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s full of highs and lows, and success often comes down to one thing: perseverance.

When I first launched my business, the love and support were overwhelming. It felt like I was stepping into my purpose. But when things got tough and the business struggled, I felt like I’d failed. I ended up back in a 9-to-5, and at the time, I saw it as a personal defeat—proof that I wasn’t cut out for this.

But here’s what I’ve realized: every setback is a setup for growth. Success isn’t about sticking to a straight path; sometimes, you have to take the scenic route. Working a traditional job again gave me time to regroup and recharge. It taught me that taking a step back doesn’t mean giving up; it’s a chance to learn and come back stronger.

Now, I’m ready to dive back in with fresh energy and a renewed sense of purpose. This journey has taught me that resilience is everything. If you’re out there feeling stuck or like you’ve hit a wall, know that it’s okay to pause, to recalibrate, and then rise again.
